The Cavern Club Liverpool The Cavern Club Liverpool is the most famous club in the world! It opened as a jazz club in 1957 and became world famous when The Beatles performed there no less than 292 times in the early 1960s. Today's Cavern, reconstructed using the original bricks and built on the same site, opened in 1984. Click here for more information. Liverpool Magical Mystery Tour This 2 hour tour visits many of the places associated with John, Paul, George and Ringo as they grew up, met and formed the band that would take the pop world by storm. It stops to let you take a closer look at some of their childhood homes and places that inspired their most memorable songs like Penny Lane and Strawberry Field. Make sure you bring your camera to record the places you'll want to remember on this magical tour. Tour departs everyday at 2.30pm from the Gower Street Bus Stop, Albert Dock. Additional tours depart at 12.00 pm throughout the year on Saturdays and Sundays and during UK school holidays. Tickets can be purchased from the Tourist Information Centre Albert Dock. In the Footsteps of the Beatles: The Cavern Quarter This tour is an hour's leisurely walk around this fascinating area of Liverpool which first became the centre of the city's music scene during the late 1950's.
